The King George congregation was established as a church plant by the Spotsylvania Church of Christ, a congregation that, for over 20 years, has had a vision for church planting. In December of 2007, a few families from the Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg congregations began meeting on Thursday evenings for mid-week Bible study. Sunday May 4th, 2008 was our first meeting at the American Legion building on Route 206, we had 45 in attendance.

On November 22, 2009 we installed Elders and were averaging 40 in attendance on Sunday mornings.

In November 2016, we welcomed our first full time minister, Nick Genter.
What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. We strive to speak only where it speaks and to be silent where it is silent.

The Bible teaches that our sin has separated us from God, but He, through His Son, has extended His gift of Grace.

Our worship strives to bring glory and honor to God. Our singing is simple, unadorned, a cappella singing. We partake of the Lord’s supper every Sunday.
